Textile exports of Vietnam reached 7.5 billion U.S. dollars in January to September 2010
During the first 9 months in this year, Vietnam's textile exports reached 7.5 billion dollars.
(Business News Agency on September 27) Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (Vitas) announced that in 1-9 months of this year, the country's cumulative exports estimated at more than 7.5 billion, an increase of 17%.
In the first 9 months of this year, textile exports have got many advantages such as a large number of orders, export prices increased by 10% -20%. It is predicted that the country's textile exports this year may exceed 10.5 billion export target.
In addition to the low recovery in EU market, the other larger export destinations including the United States and Japan have achieved high growth rates, while expanding the export market share.
Thanks to a trade agreement signed by ASEAN with Japan and South Korea, Vietnam's garment exports to these markets showed remarkable growth, for example, exports to Korea grew by 80%, exports to Japan grew by 15%.
